Cellophane water vapour transmission rate is high, but here’s the funny part, high quality cellophane airtightness is good, the isolated properties of certain gases at high temperatures with some plastic sheeting, even better. Gas is mainly through the cellophane “capillary” instead of “activation and proliferation” fish, so the effect of temperature on permeability is very low. Figure 10.6 shows, air permeability of cellophane (N2) rate slightly decreases with the increase of temperature, in polyethylene coated cellophane composite, PE below 50 c to control the transmission of oxygen, but when the temperature is higher than 50 ℃, cellophane to curb gas transmission is plays a major role.
